Zindagi Development Organization (ZDO) is a non-profit, community-based organization working in District Dadu, Sindh, Pakistan. Established in 2010, ZDO is registered under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies Ordinance, 1961, with the Sindh Charity Commission, and holds membership with the National Humanitarian Network Pakistan (NHN, Membership #076).
We work to support vulnerable and underserved communities through safe drinking water, education, shelter, rehabilitation, small business and livelihood support, WASH, health and nutrition, disaster response, and women and youth empowerment — always through community-based initiatives and partnerships rather than one-off charity.
A sustainable, equitable and eco-friendly society — where no community is left behind because of geography or poverty.
To work for the development and empowerment of socio-economically disadvantaged and vulnerable people, assisting them in addressing their poverty-linked issues.
To build resilient, inclusive communities through direct relief, WASH infrastructure, education access and livelihood opportunity — one household at a time.
Founder & Executive Director
Muhammad Bux Korai founded Zindagi Development Organization in 2010 with a simple conviction: that lasting change in Dadu would come from people who live here, not from outside. Over fifteen years he has led the organization through flood emergencies, government partnerships, and the slower, steadier work of installing hand-pumps and running classrooms — building ZDO into a name that district officials, UN agencies and local families alike recognise and trust.
He continues to lead field operations personally, from ration distribution points to boat-based flood relief, working alongside the district's Social Welfare Department and international partners including FAO, UNHCR and Islamic Relief Pakistan.
Regular collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, Dadu on regulation compliance, awareness campaigns and child protection.
Participated in FAO-ECHO and UNHCR community planning exercises for riverine flood anticipatory action.
Staff certified in Gender-Based Violence (GBV) response under the RISE-III program with local NGOs.
Ongoing partnership supporting home-based women workers across Dadu district.
